Abstract:
(EN) This invention refers to a bandwidth optimiser, dynamically operating in connections relating to radio-communications for multi-bearer systems, especially useful for DECT systems for the short-distance transfer of data packets. Such an optimiser comprises: a first block to which bit error rate (BER) is fed and which calculates the most likely number (k) of retransmissions, which is required by the quality of air interface; a second block, which receives from the first one said number (k) of retransmissions and provides, on the basis of such a number, a table giving the change in transmission time with the number of bearers; and a third block, which is fed by the second one and decides the optimal number of bearers; to be allocated to the connection and the output of which feeds a device for resources allocation (RA), said optimal number of bearers representing the maximum band to allocate to the connection, depending also on the traffic intensity.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un optimiseur à fonctionnement dynamique dans des connexions relatives aux radiocommunications de système multiporteuses, notamment des systèmes DECT destinés au transfert de paquets de données à courte distance. Cet optimiseur comprend un premier bloc dans lequel on entre un taux d'erreur binaire (BER), et qui calcule le nombre (k) de réémissions le plus probable, requis par la qualité de l'interface hertzienne. Il comprend aussi un deuxième bloc qui reçoit du premier bloc ce nombre (k) de réémissions et qui fournit, en se fondant sur ledit nombre, une table donnant la modification du temps d'émission avec le nombre de porteuses; et un troisième bloc, alimenté par le deuxième, qui décide du nombre optimum de porteuses à attribuer à la connexion, et dont la sortie alimente un dispositif d'attribution de ressources (RA), ce nombre optimal de porteuse représentant la bande maximum à attribuer à la connexion, en tenant compte aussi de l'intensité du trafic.
