Abstract:
(EN) A sail body includes first and second skin layers (40, 42), each skin layer having an outer film at an outer side and reinforcement elements at an inner side. The skin layers are laminated with the inner sides abutting to form the sail body. The skin layers are each made up of skin components (38) joined to other skin components of the same skin layer another along their aligned edges. The joined edges (44) of the first skin layer are offset from the joined edges of the second skin layer to strengthen the sail body. The sail body is preferably a three-dimensional molded sail body. The fibers or other reinforcement are preferable generally aligned with the expected load lines of the sail body.
(FR) L'invention concerne un corps de voile qui comprend des première et seconde couches superficielles (40, 42), chaque couche disposant d'un film extérieur sur un côté extérieur et d'éléments de renforcement sur un côté intérieur. Les couches superficielles sont laminées, avec les côtés internes en about, pour former le corps de voile. Les couches superficielles sont constituées chacune d'éléments (38) assemblés à d'autres éléments de la même couche le long de leurs bords alignés. Les bords assemblés (44) de la première couche sont décalés par rapport aux bords assemblés de la seconde couche, de manière à renforcer le corps de voile, lequel est de préférence un corps de voile moulé en trois dimensions. En règle générale, les fibres ou autres éléments de renforcement sont de préférence alignés par rapport aux lignes de charge prévisibles du corps de voile.
