Abstract:
(EN) This invention relates to a system for effecting a braking force on a towed vehicle, the system including at least one braking sensor located on a towing vehicle, a control unit for communciation with a braking actuator mechanism located on the apparatus towed by the towing vehicle, the system characterised in that the control unit can determine braking force sensed by the braking sensor and signal a braking actuator mechanism to apply a braking force to a towed vehicle proportional to the force applied to the braking sensor as determined by the control unit.
(FR) Cette invention a trait à un système permettant d'exercer une force de freinage sur un véhicule remorqué. Ce système comporte au moins un capteur de freinage se trouvant dans le véhicule tracté et une unité de commande destinée à communiquer avec un mécanisme actionneur de freinage se trouvant dans le véhicule remorqué par son tracteur. Ce système se caractérise par le fait que l'unité de commande est à même de déterminer la force de freinage détectée par le capteur et de commander au mécanisme actionneur de freinage d'appliquer une certaine force de freinage au véhicule remorqué, proportionnelle à la force appliquée au capteur de freinage telle que déterminée par l'unité de commande.
