(EN)The present invention relates to a topical delivery system effective in depositing a thin, tenacious and substantially continuous coating of a sacrificial substrate on skin by an aqueous emulsion mediated dissolution of protein from a sheet material with subsequent transfer and deposition onto the skin. Coatings of sacrificial substrate on skin resist removal, thereby providing a protective barrier against chemically- and biochemically-induced skin damage. The treatment composition also provides a vehicle for administering an effective dose of an active agent to the skin surface.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un système d'administration topique efficace en termes de dépôt sur la peau d'un revêtement mince, tenace et sensiblement continu d'un substrat sacrificiel, ce substrat protéinique étant dissous d'un matériau en feuilles par émulsion aqueuse avant d'être transféré et déposé sur la peau. Le revêtement créé par ce substrat sacrificiel sur la peau résiste à toute tentative d'élimination, constituant ainsi une barrière de protection contre les lésions cutanées d'origine chimique et biochimique. La composition de traitement selon l'invention peut également servir d'excipient pour l'administration d'une dose efficace d'un agent actif à la surface de la peau.
