(EN)A digitiser for mapping the surface of objects includes a probe (5) mounted so that it is able to move and encodes (1, 2, 3) associated with the probe to provide signals from which the position of the probe is able to be determined. A turntable (6) to mount the object on and turn the object through 360°. A further encode (6b) is incorporated with the turntable to provide signals from which the rotary position of the turntable is able to be determined. The probe and turntable are arranged so that, by rotation of the turntable, the probe is able to map the entire surface of an object mounted on the turntable, except for the surface, or points, that contacts the turntable.
(FR)L'invention concerne un numériseur, permettant de mapper la surface d'objets, qui comprend une sonde (5) montée de façon se déplacer; des codeurs (1, 2, 3) associés à ladite sonde de façon à fournir des signaux à partir desquels on peut déterminer la position cette sonde; une plaque tournante (6) permettant d'y poser l'objet et de le faire tourner de 360°; un codeur supplémentaire (6b) incorporé dans la plaque tournante afin de fournir des signaux à partir desquels on peut déterminer la position de rotation de ladite plaque tournante. La sonde et la plaque tournante sont agencées de telle sorte que, par rotation de ladite plaque tournante, il est possible de mapper la totalité de la surface d'un objet monté sur cette plaque tournante, à l'exception de la surface ou des points en contact avec la plaque tournante.
