(EN)A process for efficiently producing from a linear aromatic polycarbonate a high-quality thermoplastic branched polycarbonate for use in blow molding, extrusion, and vacuum forming. The thermoplastic branched polycarbonate is produced by melt-kneading a substantially linear aromatic polycarbonate together with an acid anhydride having at least two cyclic acid anhydride groups per molecule in the presence of a basic catalyst to thereby react them.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé efficace d'obtention d'un polycarbonate ramifié thermoplastique de qualité à partir d'un polycarbonate aromatique linéaire utilisé dans le moulage par soufflage, l'extrusion et le formage sous vide. Ce polycarbonate ramifié thermoplastique est obtenu par malaxage à chaud d'un polycarbonate aromatique linéaire avec un acide anhydre ayant au moins deux groupes d'acide anhydre cycliques par molécule destinés à réagir en présence d'un catalyseur basique.
