(EN)The invention relates to a method of providing a seal between an aircraft structure (14) and a removable panel (26) mountable on the structure to close an opening (12) therein. According to the invention, the method comprises applying a sealant compound (28) for example a polysulphide rubber compound, to one of the structure and the panel, forming a rebate (46) in the sealant compound, and providing a sealant tape (48) to fit within the rebate. Subsequently, the panel is fastened to the structure with the seal (50) comprising the sealant compound and the sealant tape being sandwiched between the structure and the panel and encircling the opening.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de réaliser un joint entre une structure (14) d'aéronef et un panneau amovible (26) pouvant être fixé sur la structure pour y fermer une ouverture (12). Selon l'invention, le procédé consiste à appliquer un composé de produit d'étanchéité (28) par exemple un composé de caoutchouc de polysulphide, sur la structure et le panneau, constituer une feuillure (46) dans le composé de produit d'étanchéité, et fournir une bande de produit d'étanchéité (48) à insérer dans la feuillure. Puis, le panneau est attaché à la structure avec le joint (50) renfermant le composé de produit d'étanchéité, la bande adhésive étant placée entre la structure et le panneau et encerclant l'ouverture.
