(EN)The present invention relates to a method for promoting blood vessel formation in tissues and organs. In particular, the method relates to implantation or attachment of an engineered three-dimensional stromal tissue to promote endothelialization and angiogenesis in the heart and related tissues. The three-dimensional stromal tissue of the present invention may be used in a variety of applications including, but not limited to, promoting repair of and regeneration of damaged cardiac muscle, promoting vascularization and healing during cardiac surgery, promotoing blood vessel formation at anastomosis sites, and promoting vascularization and repair of damaged skeletal muscle, smooth muscle or connective tissue.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé conçu pour favoriser la formation de vaisseaux sanguins dans des tissus et organes. En particulier, le procédé porte sur l'implantation ou la fixation d'un tissu du stroma tridimensionnel artificiel afin de favoriser l'endothélialisation et l'angiogénèse dans le coeur et les tissus connexes. On peut utiliser ledit tissu du stroma tridimensionnel dans une variété d'applications, y compris mais sans s'y limiter, la réparation et la régénération du muscle cardiaque lésé, la vascularisation et la cicatrisation lors de chirurgie cardiaque, la formation de vaisseaux sanguins aux emplacements d'anastomose, et la vascularisation et la réparation de muscles de squelette lésés, de muscles lisses ou de tissus conjonctifs.
