Abstract:
A balloon catheter which has a dilatable balloon having a high strength and can be utilized as a balloon catheter for use in Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty. The above-mentioned catheter can be prepared by a method which comprises subjecting a crystalline polyolefin resin tube to electron beam induced crosslinking to provide a crosslinked tube and then subjecting the crosslinked tube to a blow molding at a temperature which is 30° C or more lower than the melting temperature of the crystalline polyolefin resin.
