(EN)An improved process for changing between two incompatible polymerization catalysts in a commercial scale olefins polymerization process. More particularly, the first polymerization is stopped and substantially all the polymer is removed, followed by rapid purging with nitrogen and start-up with a seedbed of high melting polymer.
(FR)L'invention porte sur l'amélioration apportée à un processus de transition entre deux catalyseurs de polymérisation incompatibles dans un procédé de polymérisation d'oléfines à l'échelle commerciale. Plus spécifiquement, l'invention consiste à stopper la première polymérisation, puis à retirer pratiquement la totalité du polymère, et à purger rapidement avec de l'azote et redémarrer avec un lit de semences de polymères à point de fusion élevé.
