(EN)A mirror with wide viewing angle and reduced image distortion, to be used as an external rear-view mirror for vehicles which is obtained monolithically by pressure injection-molding or gravity casting of a highly transparent material and its external incident surface (15) is flat, while the reflective rear part (14) is obtained by means of an aspheric surface which is generated by the rotation, about an axis which is ideally parallel to the centerline axis of the vehicle, of a curve which determines, with good approximation, a profile which avoids significant deformation of the reflected images.
(FR)L'invention concerne un miroir à large angle de vue et à distorsion d'image réduite destiné à être utilisé, sur des véhicules, comme rétroviseur extérieur. Ce rétroviseur est fabriqué sous forme monolithique par moulage par injection sous pression ou par moulage en coquille d'une matière fortement transparente. La surface incidente extérieure (15) de ce rétroviseur est plate. La partie rétroréfléchissante arrière (14) est obtenue au moyen d'une surface asphérique généralement produite par rotation, autour d'un axe idéalement parallèle à l'axe central du véhicule, d'une courbe qui détermine, avec une bonne approximation, un profil qui n'entraîne pas une déformation significative des images réfléchies.
