A transmission method using multiple kinds of control codes exchanged between the transmission side and the receiving side through a serial transmission line and each having bits the number of which is smaller than a predetermined fixed length. The method comprising judging whether or not any one of the kinds of control codes is present in a serial signal received through a serial transmission line by checking the received bit stream for every number of bits of the control code, determining the control codes to be transmitted according to the result of the judgment, transmitting a bit stream including the control codes to be transmitted through the serial transmission line according to the result of the judgment, and checking the received bit stream for every fixed length of bits in response to the detection of a control code representing the start of transmission of data from the transmission side so as to receive data codes.

L'invention concerne un procédé de transmission reposant sur l'utilisation de plusieurs types de codes de commande entre le côté transmission et le côté réception, via une ligne de transmission série, chaque code ayant un nombre de bits inférieur à une longueur fixe prédéterminée. Le procédé consiste à déterminer la présence ou l'absence de l'un quelconque des codes dans un signal série reçu via la ligne de transmission série. A cet effet, on procède aux opérations suivantes : vérification du train de bits reçu pour chaque nombre de bits du code de commande, détermination des codes de commande à transmettre en fonction du résultat de la vérification, transmission d'un train de bits comprenant les codes de commande à transmettre, via la ligne de transmission série, conformément au résultat de la vérification, et vérification du train de bits reçu pour chaque longueur de bits fixe en réponse à la détection d'un code de commande qui représente le début de la transmission des données entre le côté transmission et le côté réception, de manière à recevoir les codes de données.
