An electric outlet from which a plug can be easily separated. The electric outlet comprises a housing, a housing cover engaged with the housing, a first contact terminal located in the housing and having first and second resilient strips which are apt to be distant from each other, a second contact terminal located in the housing and having first and second resilient strips which are apt to be distant from each other, a first resilient member located between the first and second strips of the first contact terminal, the first resilient member being pressed by a terminal of a plug, a second resilient member located between the first and secondstrips of the second contact terminal, the second resilient member being pressed by the terminal of the plug, latch means for restricting the movement of the first resilient strip of the first resilient member and the movement of the first resilient strip of the second resilient strip, the latch means being movable horizontally, and trigger means for moving the latch means from a first position to a second position, or from the second position to the first position. The latch means prevents the first and second resilient strips of the first contact terminal and the first and second strips of the second contact terminal from being distant from each other respectively when it is located at the first position and allowing the first and second resilient strips of the first contact terminal and the first and second strips of the second contact terminal to be distant freely from each other respectively when it is located at the second position, the terminal of the plug located between the first and second resilient strips being pushed out by the resilient forces of the first and second resilient members when the first and second resilient strips are distant from each other.

L'invention concerne une prise électrique femelle dont on peut facilement retirer une prise mâle. Cette prise électrique femelle comprend un boîtier, une couverture de boîtier emboîtée dans le boîtier, une première borne de contact située dans le boîtier et comprenant une première et une seconde bandes élastiques conçues pour être à distance l'une de l'autre, une seconde borne de contact située dans le boîtier et comprenant une première et une seconde bandes élastiques conçues pour être à distance l'une de l'autre, un premier élément élastique situé entre la première et la seconde bandes élastiques de la première borne de contact, ce premier élément élastique étant comprimé par une borne de la prise, un second élément élastique situé entre la première et la seconde bandes de la seconde borne de contact, ce second élément étant comprimé par la borne de la prise, un dispositif de verrouillage servant à restreindre le mouvement de la première bande élastique du premier élément élastique et le mouvement de la première bande élastique du second élément élastique, ce dispositif de verrouillage étant mobile horizontalement, enfin un dispositif de déclenchement servant à faire basculer le dispositif de verrouillage d'une première position à une seconde position et vice versa. Lorsqu'il se trouve dans la première position, le dispositif de verrouillage empêche la première et la seconde bandes élastiques de la première borne de contact et la première et la seconde bandes élastiques de la seconde borne de contact d'être distantes l'une par rapport à l'autre tandis que, lorsqu'il se trouve dans la seconde position, ce dispositif de verrouillage permet à ces mêmes bandes élastiques d'être librement distantes l'une par rapport à l'autre, la borne de la prise située entre la première et la seconde bandes élastiques étant poussée vers l'extérieur par les forces élastiques du premier et du second éléments, lorsque la première et la seconde bandes élastiques sont distantes l'une par rapport à l'autre.
