In the present method and apparatus for processing a vibro-acoustic signal (1) emitted by a high-voltage switching system, the vibro-acoustic signal (1) is converted into a digital signal (3). The digital signal (3) is rectified and the resulting rectified signal (5) is applied to a convolutional filter with a spectral window (6) to produce a smoothed signal (7). The smoothed signal (7) is decimated to produce a decimated signal (9) representing an envelope of the vibro-acoustic signal (1). A time realignment of the decimated signal (9) is carried out with respect to a reference signature (13A) to produce a realigned signal (11). Time deviation values generate an alarm if they exceed a limit threshold. The realigned signal (11) is added as a factor of means providing a reference signature (13A) and an actualized signature (13B). Variances (15A, 15B) of the realigned signal (11) are calculated with respect to the reference and actualized signatures (13A, 13B). The realigned signal (11) is compared with the actualized and reference signatures (13A, 13B) to detect a gradual behavior change or a sudden defect, taking the variances (15A, 15B) into consideration.

Dans le procédé et l'appareil de cette invention, qui servent à traiter un signal vibro-acoustique (1) émis par un système de commutation haute tension, le signal vibro-acoustique (1) est converti en un signal numérique (3), lequel est redressé, et le signal ainsi redressé qui en résulte (5) est appliqué à un filtre convolutionnel ayant une fenêtre spectrale (6), en vue de produire un signal lissé (7). Le signal ainsi lissé (7) est ensuite décimé pour produire un signal décimé (9) représentant une enveloppe du signal vibro-acoustique (1). Un réalignement temporel du signal décimé (9) est alors exécuté par rapport à une signature de référence (13A), en vue de produire un signal réaligné (11). Les valeurs des écarts temporels déclenchent une alarme lorsqu'ellent dépassent un seuil limite. Le signal réaligné (11) est ajouté comme facteur à un organe fournissant une signature de référence (13A) et une signature actualisée (13B). Les variances (15A, 15B) du signal réaligné (11) sont calculées par rapport aux signatures de référence et actualisées (13A, 13B). Le signal réaligné (11) est comparé aux signatures actualisées et de référence (13A, 13B), pour détecter un changement de comportement progressif ou un défaut soudain, en prenant en compte les variances (15A, 15B).
