An apparatus and method is disclosed for preventing the performance of an automatic sequence of operations of a work vehicle. The apparatus is a system that includes a databus (501), a plurality of input devices (521), a primary control unit coupled to the plurality of input devices (521) and the databus (501), a plurality of output devices and a plurality of secondary control units coupled to the databus, each of the secondary control units also being coupled to at least one of the output devices. The primary control unit directs the performance of the automatic sequence of operations by generating commands to be provided onto the databus (501). Each of the secondary control units directs an output function by the at least one output device coupled thereto in response to the commands on the databus. At least one of the secondary control units provides a status signal onto the databus indicative of a status of the at least one of the secondary control units or the respective output device, wherein the primary control unit prevents the performance of the automatic sequence of operations if the status signal is indicative of a system malfunction.

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé pour empêcher l'exécution d'une séquence automatique d'opérations d'un engin de travail. Ledit appareil est un système qui comporte un bus de données (501), plusieurs dispositifs d'entrée (521), une unité de commande principale couplée aux dispositifs d'entrée (524) et au bus de données (501), plusieurs dispositifs de sortie et plusieurs unités de commande secondaires couplées au bus de données et à au moins un des dispositifs de sortie. L'unité de commande principale demande l'exécution de la séquence automatique d'opération en générant des instructions à envoyer sur le bus de données (501). Chaque unité de commande secondaire dirige une fonction de sortie par au moins un dispositif de sortie couplé à celle-ci, en réponse aux instructions envoyées sur le bus de données. Au moins une des unités de commande secondaire envoie un signal d'état sur le bus de données, signal indiquant un état à au moins une des unités de commande secondaires ou au dispositif de sortie respectif, l'unité de commande primaire empêchant l'exécution de la séquence automatique d'opérations si le signal d'état indique un dysfonctionnement du système.
