Aspiration system to reduce the losses of fine materials and powders from an electric arc furnace (11) having a lower hearth (12) suitable to contain the bath of metal material being melted (13), a substantially cylindrical chamber (14) arranged above the hearth (12), at least one electrode (15) arranged in a central zone of the chamber (14) and a roof (16) arranged to cover the chamber (14) and provided with at least one aperture (18) through which the fumes produced by the bath can exit, the system comprising a first aspiration sub-system (20) arranged inside the chamber (14) and at least another discharge sub-system (21, 22) arranged in correspondence with the roof (16), the first aspiration sub-system (20) comprising a coil of cooling pipes (24) arranged helical so as to define, in a vertical direction, empty zones (26) between the spirals of pipes, the coil of cooling pipes (24) being distanced from the cylindrical wall of the chamber (14) to define a peripheral interspace (25) through which the fumes can ascend towards the roof (16) according to at least an ascensional, rotatory vortex.

La présente invention concerne un système d'aspiration visant à réduire les pertes de matières fines et de poudres dans un four à arc électrique (11) ayant une sole inférieure (12) destinée à contenir un bain de matières métalliques en fusion (13), une chambre sensiblement cylindrique (14) située au-dessus de la sole (12), au moins une électrode (15) située dans la zone centrale de la chambre (14) et une voûte (16) couvrant la chambre (14) et possédant au moins une ouverture (18) par laquelle peuvent sortir les émanations provenant du bain. Le système comprend un premier sous-système d'aspiration (20) situé à l'intérieur de la chambre (14) et au moins un autre sous-système de refoulement (21, 22) en contact avec la voûte (16). Le premier sous-système d'aspiration (20) comprend une bobine de tubes de refroidissement (24) hélicoïdale définissant en direction verticale des zones vides (26) entre les spirales des tubes. La bobine de tubes de refroidissement (24) est séparée de la paroi cylindrique de la chambre (14), définissant ainsi un espace périphérique (25) par lequel les émanations peuvent remonter vers la voûte (16) dans au moins un tourbillon ascendant et rotatif.
