Abstract

The present invention relates to an annular support for supporting radial bearings (18) and accommodating radial expansion and lateral displacement, and damping vibration of the bearing (18) with respect to a static support (12) structure. The annular support (22) includes an annular casing (24) to support a bearing (18) therein and a cantilevered support (26) which has a first and second rings, axially spaced apart and connected by a plurality of flexible beams (32). The first ring is connected to the annular casing (24) which is spaced radially, inwardly from the cantilevered support (26) and the second ring is connected to the static support structure (12) so that the flexibility of the beams (32) permits the annular casing (24) to move laterally in small distance while the annular support is supported to the static support structure (12). The flexibility is adjusted by selection of a combination of number, width and thickness of the beams (32). A service line (45) is able to have an access between two adjacent beams (32) to the annular casing (24) to provide lubricating fluids. The invention can be broadly applied to rotational mechanisms, in particular, to high rotational speed machine, such as aircraft turbine engines.

L'invention concerne un support annulaire conçu pour supporter des paliers radiaux (18), permettre une expansion radiale et un déplacement latéral, et amortir les vibrations du palier (18) par rapport à une structure de support statique (12). Le support annulaire (22) comporte une enveloppe annulaire (24) qui soutient un palier (18) à l'intérieur de celle-ci, et un support en porte-à-faux (26) possédant des premier et deuxième anneaux séparés, reliés par plusieurs éléments flexibles (32). Le premier anneau est relié à l'enveloppe annulaire (24) qui est espacé radialement, vers l'intérieur par rapport au support en porte-à-faux (26), et le deuxième anneau est relié à la structure de support statique (12) de sorte que la flexibilité des éléments (32) permette à l'enveloppe annulaire (24) de se déplacer latéralement sur une petite distance alors que le support annulaire est soutenu par rapport à la structure de support statique (12). La flexibilité est ajustée par la sélection du nombre, de la largeur et de l'épaisseur des éléments (32). Une ligne d'alimentation (45) alimente, entre deux éléments adjacents (32), l'enveloppe annulaire (24) en fluides de lubrification. Le support de l'invention peut être utilisé dans les mécanismes rotatifs, notamment, les machines à vitesse de rotation élevée, comme les turbines aéronautiques.
