In vehicles including both a hydraulic actuated fuel injection system (A-10) and a traditional power steering system (A-24), the present invention utilizes a single hydraulic pump (A-42) to power both systems to increase engine efficiency and reduce engine part count. Likewise, the present invention utilizes a single hydraulic pump to power both a hydraulic system and a fan drive system in engines including both engine subsystems. Further, for vehicle engines including passenger compartment heating systems, the present invention increases engine efficiency by allowing the heating system to operate effectively, even shortly after a cold start.

La présente invention concerne des véhicules comportant un système hydraulique de carburant et un système de direction assistée classique, dans lesquels une seule pompe hydraulique est utilisée pour alimenter les deux systèmes de manière à augmenter le rendement du moteur et réduire le nombre de pièces du moteur. De même, une seule pompe hydraulique est utilisée pour alimenter un système hydraulique de carburant et un système d'entraînement de ventilateur dans des moteurs comportant ces deux sous-systèmes. En outre, pour les moteurs de véhicules comportant des systèmes de chauffage de l'habitacle, la présente invention entraîne une augmentation du rendement du moteur et permet au système de chauffage de fonctionner efficacement, même tout de suite après un départ à froid.
