Highly water-absorbing resin particles which are obtained by adhering an ethylene/glycidyl (meth)acrylate copolymer to the surface of particles of a highly water-absorbing resin in an amount of 0.5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin. The particles are suitable for use in hygienic materials such as sanitary items, agricultural or horticultural materials, etc.

Selon cette invention, on obtient des particules de résine ayant une grande capacité d'absorption de l'eau en faisant adhérer un copolymère d'éthylène/glycidyle (méth)acrylate à la surface des particules de la résine dans une quantité comprise entre 0,5 et 50 parties en poids pour 100 parties en poids de résine. Les particules sont appropriées pour être utilisées dans les matériaux hygiéniques tels que des articles hygiéniques, des matériaux agricoles ou d'horticulture, etc.
