Abstract

The present invention relates to multi-barrel plant inoculation gun for a rapid large-scale plant anti virus inoculation comprising: (a) liquid container for inoculum solution (27); (b) compressed-gas source; (c) at least one compressed-gas fast-discharge-container (28) having a gas inlet (34) connected to the compressed-gas source, and a gas outlet connected to a gas fast-discharge-valve (29); (d) plurality of jet-injection units (35) each comprised of a body (20) having a liquid inlet (24) connected to the liquid container (27), a gas inlet (23) connected to the gas fast-discharge-valve (29) and a jet-outlet (21) internally connected to the liquid and gas inlets; (e) control unit for triggering-on the fast-discharge-valve; (f) chassis for positioning and supporting said elements. Upon triggering-on, the fast-discharge-container discharges a powerful pulse of gas distributed simultaneously to the plurality of jet-injection units and brought to contact with the inoculum solution for accelerating and shooting inoculum solution by jets of gas from the jet-outlets into the inner tissues of the plants.

L'invention concerne un dispositif à canons multiples servant à inoculer des plantes et conçu pour effectuer une inoculation rapide des plantes contre des virus sur une échelle importante. Ce dispositif comprend: un réservoir de liquide pour une solution d'inoculum (27); (b) une source de gaz comprimé; (c) au moins un réservoir (28) de gaz comprimé à décharge rapide possédant une entrée de gaz (34) reliée à la source de gaz comprimé et une sortie de gaz reliée à une vanne (29) de décharge rapide de gaz; (d) une pluralité d'unités (35) d'injection au jet composée chacune d'un corps (20) possédant une entrée (24) de liquide relié au réservoir (27) de liquide, une entrée de gaz (23) reliée à la vanne (29) de décharge rapide de gaz et une sortie de jet (21) communiquant avec le liquide de façon interne et avec les entrées de gaz; (e) une unité de commande servant à déclencher la vanne à décharge rapide; (f) un châssis servant à positionner et à supporter lesdits éléments. Lors du déclenchement, le réservoir à décharge rapide décharge une impulsion puissante de gaz distribuée simultanément à la pluralité d'unités d'injection au jet et mise en contact avec la solution d'inoculum afin d'accélérer et d'injecter la solution d'inoculum par des jets de gaz depuis les sorties de jet dans les tissus internes des plantes.
