Abstract

The color of the image printed on a matter is the same as that of a proof made by a proofer. The colors of a color chart (Cpa) printed are measured by means of a colorimeter (42), and a print profile (26) for converting CMYK image data to colorimetric value data is created. The CMYK image data is outputted by means of a printer (16) using the print profile (26) and a printer profile (36) to make a color chart (Cpa') to serve as a proof. The color chart (Cpa') is subjected to colorimetric measurement and a print color reproduction profile (26') is created. The print color reproduction profile (26') is corrected using a weight determined considering the color reproduction ranges of a printer (7) and the printer (16) thereby to create a print profile (26A). Color changing means is set by using the print profile (26A) and the printer profile (36) to enable color matching.

Selon cette invention, la couleur de l'image imprimée sur une matière est identique à celle d'une épreuve réalisée par un tireur d'épreuves. Les couleurs d'un nuancier (Cpa) imprimées sont mesurées au moyen d'un colorimètre (42), et un profil d'impression (26) pour la conversion de données d'image CMYK en données de valeur colorimétrique est obtenu. Les données d'image CMYK sont extraites au moyen d'une imprimante (16) utilisant les profils d'impression (26) et (36) pour produire un nuancier (Cpa') de façon à servir d'épreuve. Le nuancier (Cpa') est soumis à une mesure colorimétrique et un profil d'impression (26') de reproduction de couleur est créé. Ce profil (26') est corrigé à l'aide d'un poids déterminé considérant les plages de reproduction couleur d'une imprimante (7) et de l'imprimante (16) de façon à créer un profil (26A) d'impression.
