Die Erfindung betrifft einen Flächenstrahler mit einer Frontscheibe und einem Rückteil, wobei die Frontscheibe mittels Distanzelementen beabstandet zu dem Rückteil gehalten ist, wobei in dem Zwischenraum zwischen der Frontscheibe und dem Rückteil eine gasförmige Füllung eingebracht ist, die unter einem Druck steht, der geringer ist als der atmosphärische Umgebungsdruck, und wobei die Frontscheibe aus einem Glaswerkstoff besteht. Um solche Flächenstrahler mit geringem Eigengewicht herstellen zu können, ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass die Frontscheibe und/oder das Rückteil als zumindest bereichsweise thermisch oder chemisch vorgespannte Glasscheibe ausgebildet ist, bzw. dass die Frontscheibe und/oder das Rückteil als Glasscheibe ausgebildet ist, die zumindest bereichsweise mit einer Beschichtung, bestehend aus einem duktilen Polymermaterial, versehen ist.

The invention relates to a flat light source comprising a front plate and a rear part. The front plate is held at a distance from the rear part by means of spacers. A gaseous filling which is under a pressure lower than the ambient atmospheric pressure is introduced into the intermediate space between the front plate and rear part, and the front plate consists of a glass material. To be able to produce flat light sources of this type which have a low intrinsic weight, the invention provides for the front plate and/or rear part to be configured as an at least partly thermally or chemically tempered glass pane or for the front plate and/or rear part to be configured as a glass pane which at least in areas is coated with a ductile polymer material.

L'invention concerne une lampe plane comportant une plaque antérieure et une partie postérieure, la plaque antérieure étant maintenue à distance de la partie postérieure par l'intermédiaire d'éléments d'écartement. Un gaz de remplissage, dont la pression est inférieure à la pression ambiante atmosphérique, est introduit dans l'espace intermédiaire entre la plaque antérieure et la partie postérieure. Selon l'invention, la plaque antérieure est réalisée en verre. L'invention vise à permettre la production d'une telle lampe plane présentant un faible poids intrinsèque. A cet effet, la plaque antérieure et/ou la partie postérieure se présentent sous la forme d'une plaque de verre précontrainte au moins partiellement de manière chimique ou thermique, ou bien sous la forme d'une plaque de verre pourvue au moins partiellement d'un revêtement constitué d'un matériau polymère ductile.
