A proximity reader (10) for a radio frequency identification (RFID) system is programmed using microprocessor (12) and peak detector (20) for determining and storing optimum antenna impedance values for tuning capacitors (22) to achieve peak antenna resonance at each of multiple operating frequencies generated by oscillator (18) and radiated by antenna (14). Antenna resonance is peaked at power up and periodically during operation to compensate for environmental detuning influences. The reader (10) scans the multiple frequencies to more efficiently search for off-frequency identification tags.

On programme ce lecteur de proximité (10) pour système d'identification de radiofréquence (RFID) à l'aide d'un microprocesseur (12) et d'un détecteur de crête (20) et ce, afin de déterminer et de mémoriser des valeurs optimales d'impédance d'antenne pour des capacités d'accord (22) dans le but d'obtenir une crête de résonance d'antenne à chacune des multiples fréquences d'exploitation produites par un oscillateur (18) et rayonnées par une antenne (14). La résonance d'antenne est amenée à culminer, en mode sous tension et, périodiquement, en cours de fonctionnement, afin de corriger des influences de désyntonisation dues au milieu ambiant. Le lecteur (10) balaie les nombreuses fréquences aux fins d'une recherche plus efficace d'indicateurs d'identification d'événements hors fréquence.
