During a write processing for channels (Ch1, Ch2, Ch3), the end limit of each channel is set according to the transfer rate varying with the ratio of the number of effective packets to that of dummy packets, and end limit information is written on a disk along with write data. In a read processing for the channel (Ch4), the end limit is set according to the end limit information which is read out of the disk along with read data. Processings of earlier end limits are carried out in order. Considering the difference between the transfer rates at the outer and inner peripheries of the disk, a write zone is determined. When simultaneous recording for the channels (Ch1, Ch2) on an ASMO of groove/land recording system is carried out, data through the channel (Ch1) are recorded along grooves and data through the channel (Ch2) are recorded along lands, sequentially.

Lors du processus d'enregistrement des canaux (Ch1, Ch2 et Ch3), la limite finale de chacun des canaux est fixée en fonction de la vitesse de transfert qui varie selon le rapport du nombre des paquets efficaces aux paquets fictifs, tandis que l'information de limite finale s'écrit sur un disque avec les données enregistrées. Lors du processus de lecture du canal (Ch4) la limite finale de chacun des canaux est établie selon l'information de limite finale lue sur le disque avec les données de lecture. Le traitement des limites finales antérieures s'effectue en ordre. La zone de lecture se définit en considérant les différences de vitesse de transfert entre les périphéries extérieures et intérieures du disque. Lors d'un enregistrement simultané des canaux (Ch1 et Ch2) sur un système ASMO d'enregistrement sur plage et sillons, les données du canal (Ch1) s'enregistrent sur les sillons, et les données du canal (Ch2), sur les plaque, de manière séquentielle.
