Abstract
(EN)
An optical fiber has a structure that can effectively decrease both transmission and bending losses. The optical fiber is composed mainly of silica and includes a core part and cladding part surrounding the core part. The core part contains chlorine to have a larger refractive index than that of pure silica, and the cladding part contains fluorine to have a smaller refractive index than that of pure silica. The peak ratio of the difference in refractive index between the core part and pure silica to the refractive index of pure silica is greater than 0.05 %.

Cette invention concerne une fibre optique dont la structure atténue efficacement les pertes de transmission et les pertes par courbure. La fibre optique est composée pour l'essentiel de silice. Elle comprend une âme entourée d'une gaine. Le chlore contenue dans l'âme confère à celle-ci un indice de réfraction plus élevé que celui de la silice pure. Le fluor contenu dans la gaine confère à celle-ci un indice de réfraction moins élevé que celui de la silice pure. Le rapport maxi de l'écart entre l'indice de réfraction de l'âme et celui de la silice pure est supérieur à 0,05 %.
