Abstract
(EN)
A spectrograph (10) for analyzing the chemical composition of a sample is disclosed. Scattered light from a sample cell is collected by one or more fibers (12) and is introduced into a collimating lens (14) as a linear optical signal. The collimating lens (14) directs the optical signal to a reflective diffraction grating (16) which reflects the signal into a focusing lens (18). The focusing lens (18) focuses the optical signal onto a charge coupled device array (20) which converts the optical signal into an electronic signal. Aberration correction is provided by collimating and focusing lenses (14, 18). The electronic signal is analyzed and converted by computer into a representation of the chemical analysis of the sample stream.
