The present invention relates to a furnace for burning solid fuels, mainly wood, according to an uninterrupted operation mode, wherein said furnace generates substantial quantities of heat in the form of hot combustion products. This furnace can thus be used in wood drying plants, for heating premises, for waste incineration, etc. The purpose of this invention is to simplify the structure of the furnace increasing the fuel combustion efficiency as well as the specific power, the reliability and the exploitation characteristics. The furnace includes a loading hopper (1) of the mining type, a combustion chamber (2) provided under said hopper and an expansion chamber (3) arranged behind the combustion chamber (2) and provided with a forced exhaust (5). The air from the outside is fed into the combustion chamber (2) at a temperature corresponding to that of the combustion products in the expansion chamber (3).

Cette invention concerne un four qui est destiné à la combustion de combustibles solides, notamment de bois, selon un mode de fonctionnement ininterrompu, et qui libère de grandes quantités de chaleur sous forme de produits de combustion brûlants. Ce four peut ainsi être utilisé dans des installations de séchage du bois, dans le chauffage de locaux, dans l'incinération de déchets, etc. Cette invention permet de simplifier la structure du four, et d'accroître l'efficacité de la combustion du combustible ainsi que la puissance spécifique, la fiabilité et la facilité d'exploitation. Ce four comprend une trémie de chargement (1) de type minier, une chambre de combustion (2) disposée sous la trémie, ainsi qu'une chambre d'expansion (3) située derrière la chambre de combustion (2) et comportant un conduit d'évacuation forcée (5). L'air provenant de l'extérieur pénètre dans la chambre de combustion (2) à une température qui correspond à la température des produits de combustion dans la chambre d'expansion (3).
