Abstract
(EN)
An exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine. The present invention includes a turbocharger (36), restrictor valve (32), and exhaust gas recirculation valve (34). The restrictor valve (32) is upstream of the turbine (46) of the turbocharger (36), and restricts the flow of exhaust gas into the turbine (46). This restriction results in an increase in pressure of the exhaust gas provided to the restrictor valve (32). The increased pressure exhaust gas is provided to the inlet of an exhaust gas recirculation valve (34) which may be actuatable independently of the actuation of the restrictor valve. The restrictor valve (32) may be modulated until exhaust pressure is greater than the pressure of the intake gas. The restrictor valve (32) creates a pressure differential suitable for recirculating a portion of exhaust gas through the EGR valve (34) and into the intake manifold (26) of the engine.

L'invention concerne un système de recirculation des gaz d'échappement pour moteur à combustion interne. L'objet de la présente invention comprend un turbocompresseur (36), une soupape de réduction (32) et une soupape de recirculation des gaz d'échappement (34). La soupape de réduction (32) est disposée en amont de la turbine (46) du turbocompresseur (36) et réduit le flux de gaz d'échappement pénétrant dans la turbine (46), ce qui a pour effet d'augmenter la pression des gaz d'échappement acheminés vers la soupape de réduction (32). Les gaz d'échappement à pression accrue sont acheminés vers l'entrée d'une soupape de recirculation des gaz d'échappement (34) qui peut être actionnée indépendamment de l'actionnement de la soupape de réduction. On peut moduler l'action de la soupape de réduction (32) jusqu'à ce que la pression des gaz d'échappement dépasse celle des gaz d'admission. La soupape de réduction (32) crée un différentiel de pression qui permet de recirculer une partie des gaz d'échappement à travers la soupape RGE (34), en direction du collecteur d'admission du moteur.
