A concrete contraction and expansion joint with a mechanism providing adjustable height, enabling fast, efficient pouring of concrete over layout surfaces, achieving accurate thickness and desired slope of the concrete slab. In a preferred embodiment, the concrete section joint assembly (35) is pre-formed by using longitudinal sections having a channel (37) for holding elastomeric material (42), with the section supported from its underside by shaped support units, each mounted on two threaded studs (24). A specially designed nut (28) threaded on each stud (24) provides height adjustability and by rotation raises or lowers the height of support unit sides. The height adjustment, provided from above the assembly, can be performed before concrete pouring is completed and an upper edge portion of the elastomeric material or the upper edges of the channel are visible with the concrete surface, providing a reference height and slope for the concrete surface. Another embodiment provides a surface level guide for mortar or plaster work in wall finishing.

Joint de dilatation et de contraction conçu pour du béton et comportant un mécanisme de réglage de hauteur, ce qui permet de couler le béton de façon rapide et efficace sur des surfaces d'implantation et d'obtenir une épaisseur précise et une pente souhaitée de la dalle en béton. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, l'ensemble (35) joint de sections de béton est préformé au moyen de sections longitudinales présentant un canal (37) servant à contenir un matériau (42) élastomère, le côté inférieur de la section s'appuyant sur des unités de support façonnées montées chacune sur deux goujons (24) filetés. Un écrou (28) de conception spéciale vissé sur chaque goujon (24) permet d'effectuer un réglage de hauteur et élève ou abaisse la hauteur des côtés des unités de support par simple rotation. On peut effectuer le réglage de la hauteur, depuis la partie supérieure de l'ensemble, avant le coulage du béton, une partie bord supérieur du matériau élastomère et les bords supérieurs du canal étant visibles par rapport à la surface du béton, ce qui permet d'obtenir une hauteur de référence et une pente pour ladite surface. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un guide de niveau de surface permet de travailler le mortier ou le plâtre de finition des parois.
