A radiation-curable formulation (20) comprising a photosensitive composition (14) employs an electrically conductive filler (22) comprised of elements of elongated form, which elements have surfaces that reflect actinic radiation (R) to which the photoinitiator employed is responsive. Silver-coated cylindrical fibers or rods will typically constitute the conductive filler, and solid deposits cured from the formulation may function as, for example, sealing elements, gaskets, and solder-like joints. In certain preferred embodiments the formulation will include an active oxygen-free radical-generating catalyst, the presence of which enhances curing even though the reaction conditions are such that normal thermal catalysis temperatures are not attained.

Cette préparation durcissant sous l'effet d'un rayonnement (20), qui renferme une composition photosensible (14), utilise une matière de charge conductrice de l'électricité (22) constituée d'éléments de forme allongée possédant des surfaces réfléchissant la radiation actinique (R) à laquelle réagit le photoinitiateur employé. Des fibres ou des tiges cylindriques enrobées d'argent constituent généralement la charge conductrice et des dépôts solides durcis de la préparation agissent, par exemple, en tant qu'éléments d'étanchéité, joints statiques et joints du type à brasure tendre. Dans certaines réalisations préférées, la préparation renferme un catalyseur actif produisant un radical exempt d'oxygène, catalyseur dont la présence améliore la prise de la préparation, même si les conditions de réaction sont telles que les températures normales de catalyse thermique n'ont pas été atteintes.
