Microporous articles formed by thermally induced phase separation from a diluent in combination with a thermoplastic polymer and a flame retardant providing novel flame retardant articles. Such articles are useful in clothing, wall or roofing barriers, optical films in electronic devices (such as light reflective and dispersive films), printing substrates and electrical insulation.

L'invention concerne des articles microporeux obtenus par la séparation en phases induites par la chaleur d'un diluant combiné à un polymère thermoplastique et un ignifugeant permettant d'obtenir de nouveaux articles résistants aux flammes. Ces articles sont spécialement indiqués pour les vêtements, les barrières de parois et toitures, les films optiques dans les dispositifs électroniques (notamment les films à lumière réfléchissante et de dispersion), les substrats d'impression et l'isolation électrique.
