A reinforcing fiber is provided, which can exhibit sufficient adhesive strength even with single layer film coating, a fiber processing agent which can enhance the strength of adhesion between the fiber and the matrix, and a rubber product employing the reinforcing fiber. The fiber processing agent contains a rubber modified epoxy resin. The rubber modified epoxy resin is obtained by epoxidating a high molecular compound having rubber elasticity, and therefore possesses both high elasticity peculiar to rubber and high adhesive strength due to the epoxidation. The high molecular compound having rubber elasticity includes a butadiene-styrene copolymer latex, and an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer latex, for example.

L'invention concerne une fibre de renforcement pouvant présenter une force adhésive suffisante même avec un revêtement de film monocouche, un agent de traitement de fibres pouvant augmenter la force d'adhésion entre la fibre et la matrice, et un article en caoutchouc utilisant la fibre de renforcement. L'agent de traitement de fibres contient une résine epoxyde modifiée par du caoutchouc. Cette résine s'obtient par époxydation d'un composé à poids moléculaire élevé possédant l'élasticité du caoutchouc, et possède, par conséquent, une grande élasticité propre au caoutchouc ainsi qu'une grande force d'adhésion, du fait de l'époxydation. Le composé à poids moléculaire élevé possédant l'élasticité du caoutchouc contient, par exemple, un latex copolymère de butadiène et de styrène et un latex copolymère acrylonitrile-styrène.
