Abstract

A thermal transfer element includes a substrate, a light-to-heat conversion layer, and a transfer layer. The light-to-heat conversion layer includes a radiation absorber and is formed using a composition in which at least 25 wt.% of the solids (i.e., 25 wt.% of the composition excluding the solvent) is a thermoplastic resin. The thermal transfer element can be used to form multilayer and single layer devices and other objects by thermal transfer of the transfer layer such as multilayer electronic and optical devices, for example an organic electroluminescent device.

L'invention concerne un élément de transfert thermique comprenant un substrat, une couche de conversion de lumière en chaleur, et une couche de transfert. La couche de conversion de lumière en chaleur comprend un absorbeur de rayonnement et est formée à partir d'une composition dans laquelle au moins 25 % en poids de la matière solide (c'est-à-dire 25 % en poids de la composition sans le solvant) est une résine thermoplastique.
