Apparatus is provided for measuring, or delivering predetermined small volumes of fluid. One or more bulbs are provided which have at least one membrane and also have an inlet for fluid and an outlet on one side of the membrane, and a connection to a source of air or other fluid under pressure on the other side of the membrane. The fluid to be measured or delivered is introduced through the inlet at a higher pressure than that holding the membrane in position. The membrane takes up the shape of the bulb and the inlet is closed. Pressure is applied to the membrane thus forcing the fluid through the outlet until the membrane has taken up the configuration of the bulb.

L'invention se rapporte à un appareil conçu pour mesurer ou délivrer de petits volumes prédéterminés d'un fluide. Ledit appareil comporte des boules qui contiennent au moins une membrane, et possèdent une entrée pour le fluide et une sortie située d'un côté de la membrane, et une connexion à une source d'air ou d'un autre fluide sous pression de l'autre côté de la membrane. Le fluide à mesurer et à délivrer est introduit par l'orifice d'entrée à une pression supérieure à celle qui maintient la membrane en place. La membrane prend la forme de la boule et l'orifice d'entrée se ferme. Une pression s'exerce sur la membrane, ce qui contraint le fluide à passer par l'orifice de sortie jusqu'à ce que la membrane ait adoptée la forme de la boule.
