A disposable-type hearing aid uses a relatively large single diaphragm or a large single diaphragm subdivided into a plurality of smaller active diaphragm areas obtained using a grate-like back support plate with ridges which contact and divide the diaphragm into the several smaller active diaphragm areas. The diaphragm and a backplate are enclosed in a metal housing and are disposed proximal and parallel to a shell-like hearing aid enclosure having sound inlets. The metal housing is closed at an end opposite the sound inlets by a printed circuit board (PCB) forming an acoustical seal for a back volume of the microphone. The PCB also carries substantially all the electronic components for the hearing aid thereon. The PCB has a ground plane in contact with the housing whereby the PCB also acts as an EMI shield. An electrical connection is formed in various ways between the back support plate and the PCB during assembly of the metal housing and components with the PCB. Mass production of disposable hearing aids with large diaphragms and relatively low noise levels is thus possible using this invention.

La présente invention concerne un appareil de correction auditive de type jetable qui utilise une seule membrane relativement grande ou une seule grande membrane subdivisée en une pluralité de zones de membrane plus petites obtenues au moyen d'une plaque de fixation arrière en forme de grille dotée de crêtes en contact avec la membrane, divisant ainsi cette dernière en plusieurs zones de membrane actives plus petites. Cette membrane et une plaque arrière sont enfermées dans un logement métallique et sont situées du coté proximal d'une enveloppe d'appareil de correction auditive en forme de coque et parallèlement à cette enveloppe, laquelle est par ailleurs dotée d'entrées de son. Le logement métallique est fermé à une extrémité opposée des entrées de son par une carte à circuit imprimé qui forme une étanchéité acoustique pour un volume du fond du microphone. La carte à circuit imprimé porte également presque tous les composants électroniques de l'appareil de correction auditive. Cette carte à circuit imprimé possède une surface plane en contact avec le logement avec laquelle ladite carte à circuit imprimé agit comme un blindage EMI. Une connexion électrique est établie de diverses façons entre la plaque de fixation arrière et la carte à circuit imprimé au cours de l'assemblage du logement métallique et des composants avec la carte à circuit imprimé. Une production à grande échelle d'appareils de correction auditive jetables à grandes membrane et à niveaux de bruit relativement bas est ainsi rendue possible grâce à cette invention.
