A demodulator for use in a signal collection system (10) of a Wireless Location System comprises a digital signal processor (DSP), a memory (14) containing coded instructions for use by the DSP in demodulating signals that are modulated in accordance with any one of a plurality of modulation schemes and drop and insert (D/I) units (11A, 11B) are used to interface fractional T1/E1 lines to full T1/E1 lines, which in turn are coupled to a digital access and control system (DACS) 13A. The plurality of modulation schemes may include AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, and/or GSM modulation protocols.

L'invention concerne un démodulateur (fig. 1) destiné à être utilisé dans un système de collecte de signaux (10) faisant partie d'un système de radiolocalisation. Le démodulateur comprend un processeur de signaux numériques (DSP); une mémoire (14) contenant des instructions codées, destinées à être utilisées par ledit DSP dans des signaux de démodulation qui sont modulés en fonction d'un schéma de modulation faisant partie d'une pluralité de schémas de modulation; et des unités d'insertion/extraction (D/I) (11A, 11B), qui sont utilisées pour servir d'interface entre des lignes fractionnaires T1/E1 et des lignes complètes T1/E1, elles-mêmes couplées à un système numérique d'accès et de commande (DACS) (13A).
