A multi-frequency antenna feed for incorporation into a single unit which combines at least two waveguides to provide simultaneous reception and/or transmission of signals in at least two separate frequency bands is described. This is achieved by creating a waveguide system of at least two waveguides sharing the same central axis; a central conventional waveguide which also acts as a centre conductor for an outer coaxial waveguide and feeding the outer coaxial waveguide from a non-circular side feed, orthogonal to the waveguide axis, to set up a uniform field in the outer coaxial waveguide. The feeds are adjusted so that the phase centre for each frequency band is at the same point in the feed for the same dish. Various embodiments of the invention are described.

La présente invention concerne un système d'alimentation d'antenne multifréquence tenant en un seul module combinant au moins trois guides d'ondes de façon à permettre la réception et/ou l'émission simultanée de signaux dans au moins deux bandes distinctes de fréquences. A cet effet, on a réalisé un système de guides d'ondes constitué d'au moins deux guides d'ondes partageant un unique axe central. On utilise également un guide d'ondes conventionnel central qui sert également de conducteur central pour un guide d'ondes coaxial extérieur, et qui attaque le guide d'ondes coaxial extérieur à partir d'une alimentation d'antenne latérale non circulaire, perpendiculairement à l'axe du guide d'ondes, de façon à établir un champ uniforme dans le guide d'ondes coaxial extérieur. Les alimentations d'antenne sont réglées de façon que les centres des phases de chaque bande de fréquence se confondent en un même point de l'alimentation pour un même réflecteur. L'invention concerne également diverses réalisations.
