A device for deactivating a magnetomechanical electronic article surveillance (EAS) marker includes a deactivation coil array and a coil driving circuit (24). The coil driving circuit repetitively energizes the deactivation coil array according to a predetermined timing to generate a magnetic field for deactivating the EAS marker. The driving circuit includes at least one storage capacitor (220), circuitry for charging the at least one storage capacitor and a switching circuit (212) for selectively forming a resonant circuit which includes the storage capacitor and at least some of the coils of the coil array to generate a ring-down signal in the coils. A timing circuit (236) controls the switching circuit to generate the ring-down signal repetitively at the predetermined timing.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif destiné à désactiver un système électronique de surveillance d'article magnétomécanique. Ce dispositif comprend un réseau de bobines de désactivation et un circuit d'alimentation (24) des bobines. Le circuit d'alimentation des bobines alimente le réseau de bobines de désactivation à intervalles de temps répétées prédéterminées afin de générer un champ magnétique destiné à désactiver le système électronique de surveillance d'article. Le circuit d'alimentation des bobines comprend au moins un condensateur (220), des circuits électriques permettant de charger ce(s) condensateur(s) et un circuit de commutation (212) permettant de constituer, de manière sélective, un circuit résonnant, comprenant le condensateur et au moins quelques unes des bobines du réseau de bobines afin de générer un signal de désactivation dans les bobines. Un circuit de synchronisation (236) permet de commander le circuit de commutation afin de générer le signal de désactivation aux intervalles de temps prédéterminées.
