Abstract
(EN)
An arrangement for clock control in a device receiving a clock from an external source includes switching means (101) for switching an external clock through to the device as an internal clock, and clock request generation means (102, 103), adapted to switch clock signal through to the external clock controller as requests for suppressing and restarting the external clock. Control means (104) are provided in the form of a state machine to control the generation of the internal clock through the switching means, and to control the clock request generation means in accordance with a predetermined state of two signals, one generated internally by the device, the other by the external clock controller (20). The clock request generation means are also coupled to a clock start module adapted to receive several input signals (12) for signalling an event requiring the clocked operation of the device.

L'invention porte sur un système de gestion des signaux d'horloge dans un dispositif recevant un signal d'horloge d'une source extérieure et comportant des moyens (101) permettant de le commuter sur le dispositif pour y servir de signal intérieur d'horloge, et un moyen de production de demandes de signal d'horloge (102, 103), servant à commuter un signal d'horloge sur le contrôleur de l'horloge extérieure en vue de son arrêt ou de son redémarrage. Des moyens de commande (104) sous la forme d'un automate fini permettent de commander la production du signal d'horloge intérieur via les moyens de commutation, et de commander le moyen de production de demandes de signal d'horloge en fonction d'un état prédéterminé de deux signaux, l'un produit intérieurement par le dispositif et l'autre par le contrôleur de l'horloge extérieure (20). Le moyen de production de demandes de signal d'horloge est également relié à un module de redémarrage de l'horloge conçu pour recevoir plusieurs signaux d'entrée (12) signalant un événement requérant le fonctionnement sous horloge du dispositif.
