The present invention provides a reagent which can be used as a marker to identify individual lanes on an electrophoresis gel which is run on an Automated DNA Sequencer. This reagent may be included in the loading dye for samples in DNA sequencing, DNA fragment analysis, or linkage mapping analysis. Inclusion of the reagent aids in the identification of the lane in which each sample is individually loaded on the acrylamide gel, such that the data read from each lane by the instrument is correctly applied to the appropriate sample.

La présente invention concerne un réactif que l'on peut utiliser comme marqueur pour identifier une à une des bandes sur un gel d'électrophorèse mis en oeuvre sur un séquenceur d'ADN automatisé. Ce réactif peut être inclus dans le colorant de charge destiné à des échantillons pour le séquençage, l'analyse de fragments d'ADN, ou d'analyse cartographique des liaisons.
