A universal mounting system includes an adaptor (16), which includes mounting plate (20) having a center and common aperture (30) positioned on mounting plate (20) at a selected distance from the center. Sets of angularly equidistant apertures (i.e. 30, 32, 34, 36), each set including the common aperture (30), are formed in the plate (20) at the selected distance from the center. The system further includes a number of arms (54) equally spaced from one another that correspond to a number of radial holes in the motor (not shown). An accessory is then mounted to the adaptor (16). The method includes attaching the first ends of the arms (54) to mounting plate (20) at the desired set of apertures corresponding to the number of radial holes in the motor, and then aligning and fastening the second ends of arms (54) to radial holes.

L'invention concerne un système de montage universel qui comporte un adaptateur (16), lequel comprend une plaque de montage (20) dotée d'un centre et d'une ouverture commune (30) placée sur la plaque de montage (20) à une distance déterminée du centre. Des ensembles d'ouvertures (30, 32, 34, 36) équidistantes de manière angulaire, et comprenant chacun l'ouverture commune (30), sont formés dans la plaque (20) à la distance déterminée du centre. Le système comporte également un nombre de bras (54) espacés à égale distance les uns des autres, correspondant à un nombre de trous radiaux dans un moteur (non illustré). Un accessoire est alors fixé à l'adaptateur (16). Le procédé de montage consiste à fixer les premières extrémités des bras (54) à l'ensemble d'ouvertures voulu de la plaque de montage (20), le nombre des ouvertures correspondant au nombre de trous radiaux dans le moteur, puis à aligner et à assujettir les extrémités opposées des bras (54) aux trous radiaux.
