Abstract

The invention is a relief device (100) for a high-pressure gas container (10), comprising a main body (102) having a uniform outer circumference that defines a bore (116). Within the bore (116) is a rupture disc (120) for relieving to the atmosphere the container's contents when the container (10) reaches a certain pressure. The relief device (100) is coupled to the high-pressure gas container (10) via a threaded connection (101). The bore comprises a primary bore (104) coaxial with the main body's main axis and a secondary bore (106) containing the rupture disc (120), each bore being in fluid communication with one another. An adapter (114), threaded at its upstream end to engage corresponding threads in the secondary bore (106), retains the rupture disc (120) within the secondary bore (106). A shear ring (122) between the adapter (114) and the rupture disc (120) facilitates rupturing of the rupture disc (120).

L'invention concerne un dispositif de détente (100) destiné à un récipient pour gaz haute pression (10) qui comprend un corps principal (102) possédant une circonférence extérieure uniforme qui définit un alésage (116). L'alésage (116) est en communication fluidique avec un volume intérieur du récipient pour gaz haute pression (10). A l'intérieur de l'alésage (116) se trouve un disque de rupture (120) destiné à libérer dans l'atmosphère le contenu du récipient (10) lorsque le récipient (10) atteint une certaine pression. Le dispositif de détente (100) est couplé au récipient pour gaz haute pression (10) via un raccord fileté (101). L'alésage comprend un alésage primaire (104) coaxial avec l'axe principal du corps principal et un alésage secondaire (106) contenant le disque de rupture (120), chaque alésage se trouvant en communication fluidique l'un avec l'autre.
