Abstract

The invention relates to a brake device (1) for braking a movement of an object (14) by mechanical friction, such as the movement of rails relative to a train, or the rotation of a brake disc or a cycle wheel, which brake device comprises: a basic part (4) with an engagement point for engagement of a braking force which can be exerted via operating means; a brake block (13) arranged on the basic part (4) for braking the movement of the object (14) by friction, wherein the basic part (4) is movable such that the brake block (13) is movable with at least a substantial transverse component relative to the movement of the object (14); resetting spring means (34) for urging the brake block (13) away from the object (14) to a free rest position such that in the case of a braking force smaller than the spring force a space results between the object and the brake block; a first and a second stop, which stops are arranged at a fixed mutual distance, which first stop determines the maximum distance between the object and the brake block, and which second stop adjusts itself to the contact position, i.e. the position wherein brake block (13) and object (14) make mutual contact, when a braking force is exerted which exceeds the spring force.

L'invention porte sur un dispositif (1) freinage par friction mécanique d'un mobile (14) Tel qu'un train sur ses rails, qu'un disque de frein, ou que la roue d'une bicyclette, et comprenant: une partie (4) de base comportant un point d'application d'une force exercée par un moyen de commande; un bloc de freinage (13) monté sur la partie (4) de base et freinant le mobile (14) par friction, la partie (4) de base se déplaçant avec au moins un élément sensiblement transversal par rapport au mouvement du mobile (14); un ressort de rappel (34) éloignant le bloc de freinage (13) du mobile (14) jusqu'à une position de repos qui, si la force de freinage est inférieure à celle du ressort, laisse un espace (5) entre le mobile et le bloc de freinage; une première et une deuxième butée séparées par un espace fixe dont la première fixe la distance maximale entre le mobile et le bloc de freinage, et la deuxième, se place d'elle-même dans la position de contact, c.-à-d. dans la position où le bloc de freinage (13) et le mobile (14) entrent en contact alors que s'exerce une force de freinage dépassant celle du ressort.
