A vacuum bag process is provided for forming a fiber-reinforced resin structue (54) having an opening (52). A fiber-reinforced ply (22) is distributed about a resin infusion port (44), having a resin inlet (46) and at least one resin outlet (48), positioned adjacent a mold surface (14). A flexible covering (26) is placed over the fiber-reinforced ply (22) and the mold surface (14) to form a chamber (28). The chamber (28) is then evacuated and resin is infused into the fiber-reinforced ply (22) by dispensing resin into the chamber (28) through the at least one resin outlet (48). The resin is cured within the resin infusion port (44) and within the chamber (28) to form a cured resin structure (54). An opening (52) is formed in the resin structure (54) by removing the resin infusion port (44) and a portion of the resin structure adjacent the resin infusion port (44).

L'invention concerne un procédé de moulage au sac sous vide permettant de former une structure (54) en résine à renforcement de fibres présentant une ouverture (52). On répartit une couche (22) intermédiaire fibreuse autour d'un embout (44) d'injection de résine présentant une entrée (46) et au moins une sortie (48) adjacente à la surface (14) du moule. On dispose ensuite une couverture (26) flexible par dessus la couche (22) fibreuse et la surface (14) du moule de manière à former une chambre (28), puis on met cette chambre (28) en dépression et on injecte la résine dans la couche (22) fibreuse en introduisant de la résine dans la chambre (28) à travers le/les orifice(s) (48) de sortie de résine. On fait durcir la résine dans l'embout (44) d'injection et dans la chambre (28) afin de former une structure (54) en résine durcie. Enfin, on forme une ouverture (52) dans la structure (54) de résine en retirant l'embout (44) d'injection de résine et une portion de la structure de résine adjacente à l'embout (44) d'injection.
