A method for producing a full face vehicle wheel wherein at least the inboard tire bead seat is precisely oriented and located relative to an axis of the associated vehicle wheel includes the steps of: (a) providing a vehicle wheel assembly having a wheel rim (20) and a wheel disc (40) joined together and defining a horizontal wheel axis, the wheel rim including an inboard tire bead seat retaining flange (22), an inboard tire bead seat (24), a well (26), and an outboard tire bead seat (28), the wheel disc (40) including a wheel mounting portion and an outer annular portion which defines an outboard tire bead seat retaining flange (50) of the vehicle wheel; (b) supporting the vehicle wheel assembly on a vehicle wheel fixturing and press apparatus (60) including a wheel fixturing member (62) and a wheel press member (70); and (c) selectively moving at least one of the wheel fixturing member (62) and the wheel press member (70) toward one another so as to engage and squeeze the inboard outboard tire bead seat radially so as to expand the inboard tire bead seat (24) in the radial direction to round up the radial runout of the inboard tire bead seat (24) whereby an inner surface of the inboard tire bead seat (24) is oriented and located at a desired radial distance relative to the horizontal whell axis and in a generally concentric relationship therewith.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de roue de véhicule monobloc dans laquelle au moins le repos de talon de pneu intérieur est précisément placé et orienté par rapport à un axe de la roue de véhicule associée. Ce procédé consiste à: (a) fabriquer une unité de roue de véhicule présentant une jante (20) et un disque (40) de roue reliés ensemble et formant un axe de roue horizontal, la jante comportant un flasque (22) de retenu pour le repos de talon intérieur (28), un repos de talon intérieur, un puits, et un repos de talon extérieur, le disque (40) de roue comprenant une partie de montage de roue et une partie annulaire externe formant un flasque (50) de retenu pour le repos de talon extérieur de roue de véhicule; (b) disposer l'unité de roue de véhicule dans un appareil (60) à bâti de montage et presse comprenant un élément (62) de montage de roue et un élément (70) de presse de roue, et enfin, (c) déplacer sélectivement au moins l'élément (62) de montage et/ou l'élément (70) de presse l'un vers l'autre de manière à venir en contact avec le repos de talon de pneu intérieur/extérieur et le presser radialement pour déployer le repos de talon de pneu intérieur (24) radialement et arrondir ainsi le faux-rond du repos de talon de pneu intérieur (24); une surface interne du repos de talon de pneu intérieur (14) étant placée et orientée à une distance radiale voulue par rapport à l'axe de roue horizontal et en relation généralement concentrique avec celui-ci.
