The present invention is directed to improved polybutadiene compositions suitable for use in molded golf ball core construction. The improved polybutadiene compositions are composed of at least two certain types of polybutadiene, which has the effect of increasing the resiliency of the resulting molded cores and greatly facilitates processing of the compositions and forming the cores. Also disclosed are improved golf ball cores (20, 60), and balls (10, 50) utilizing such cores (20, 60), formed from particular ultra high Mooney viscosity polybutadiene.

L'invention concerne des compositions améliorées à base de butadiène conçues pour former des structures de noyaux moulés de balles de golf. Les compositions améliorées à base de butadiène sont constituées d'au moins deux types déterminés de butadiène, ce qui a pour effet d'améliorer la souplesse des noyaux moulés et de faciliter grandement le traitement des compositions et la formation des noyaux. L'invention concerne aussi des noyaux améliorés de balles de golf (20, 60) et les balles (10, 50) utilisant ces noyaux (20, 60), formés à partir d'un polybutadiène spécial à consistance Mooney extrêmement élevée.
