Abstract

An X-ray CT apparatus comprising a scanner (4) mounted with an imaging system having an X-ray source (1) for generating X-rays emitted radially toward an object (8) and imaging means (3) opposed to the X-ray source and adapted to receive X-rays transmitted through the object to form a transmitted X-ray image, rotating means (102) for rotating the scanner around the object, tilting means (104) for tilting the rotary plane of the scanner around a line generally perpendicular to the axis of the rotation of the scanner and the axis of the body of the object in such a way that the upper part of a gantry (5) housing the scanner moves away from the head of the object and thereby varying the angle of tilt of the rotary plane of the scanner with respect to the axis of the body of the object, means (106) for forming an X-ray CT image of the object from the transmitted X-ray images captured in different directions by varying the tilt angle with the rotation of the scanner, and display means (107) for displaying the X-ray CT image, whereby complete data required to re-structuring the image of the object while the object is in rest can be collected and re-structuring a high-quality three-dimensional CT image.

L'invention concerne un tomodensitomètre par rayons X comprenant un scanneur (4) doté d'un système de formation d'images comprenant une source (1) de rayons X destinée à générer des rayons X qui sont émis radialement vers un objet (8) et un dispositif de formation d'images (3) opposé à la source de rayons X et conçu pour recevoir les rayons X émis à travers l'objet pour former une image radiologique ; un dispositif de rotation (102) destiné à faire tourner le scanner autour de l'objet ; un dispositif d'inclinaison (104) destiné à incliner le plan rotatif du scanneur autour d'une ligne généralement perpendiculaire à l'axe de rotation du scanneur et à l'axe du corps de l'objet de telle sorte que la partie supérieure d'un portique (5) logeant le scanneur s'éloigne de la tête de l'objet, ce qui varie l'angle d'inclinaison du plan rotatif du scanneur par rapport à l'axe du corps de l'objet ; un dispositif (106) de formation d'une image tomodensitométrique par rayons X de l'objet à partir d'images radiologiques saisies dans des directions différentes par variation de l'angle d'inclinaison avec la rotation du scanneur ; et un dispositif d'affichage (107) de l'image tomodensitométrique par rayons X, qui permet de recueillir des données complètes nécessaires pour restructurer l'image de l'objet lorsque ce dernier se trouve au repos, et de restructurer une image tomodensitométrique tridimensionnelle de haute qualité.
