A process for monitoring and controlling an aqueous system, where at least one performance parameter relating to conditions within an aqueous system is selected. A value of the at least one performance parameter is measured to serve as a baseline value. A capacity of the aqueous system is determined and flow rates of water into and out of the system are measured and monitored. The value of at least one performance parameter is measured and compared to the baseline value for the performance parameter. Flow rates of water into and out of the system are factored in. At least one controllable variable within the aqueous system is altered based upon a deviation of the value of the performance parameter from the baseline value.

L'invention concerne un procédé de contrôle et de gestion d'un système aqueux, dans lequel au moins un paramètre de fonctionnement relatif aux conditions régnant à l'intérieur du système aqueux est sélectionné. Une valeur du ou des paramètres de fonctionnement est mesurée pour servir de valeur de base. Une capacité du système aqueux est déterminée et des débits d'eau entrant et sortant du système sont mesurés et contrôlés. La valeur au moins du paramètre de fonctionnement est mesurée puis comparée à la valeur de base du paramètre de fonctionnement. Les débits d'eau entrant et sortant du système sont factorisés. Au moins une variable régulable dans le système aqueux est modifiée sur la base d'un écart de la valeur du paramètre de fonctionnement par rapport à la valeur de base.
