Abstract

A power generating system (11), including a first shaft (35), a first compressor (13), a second compressor (17) and a turbine (25). In a further embodiment, the system also includes a second turbine (27), a second shaft (47) and a generator (29). Each of the first compressor (13), the second compressor (17) and the turbine (25) are connected to the first shaft (35) whereby the first shaft (35), the first compressor (13), the second compressor (17) and the turbine (25) all rotate at the same speed. The first compressor (13) and second compressor (17) are of disparate flow types.

Un système (11) de génération de puissance comprend un premier axe (35), un premier compresseur (13), un deuxième compresseur (17) et une turbine (25).
