A water-based metal surface treatment composition for forming a lubricating film with excellent marring resistance, characterized in that it comprises (a) a water-compatible urethane resin which contains bisphenol skeletons and carboxyl groups in the resin backbone and has an average molecular weight of 3,000 or higher and which has been synthesized through reaction of an isocyanate in which the content of nitrogen atoms participating in the isocyanate reaction is 2 to 13 wt.% and the ratio of nitrogen atoms participating in urea bond formation to the nitrogen atoms participating in the isocyanate reaction is 10/100 to 90/100, (b) a hardener, (c) silica, and (d) a polyolefin wax, and that the sum of the ingredients (a) and (b) is 50 to 95 wt.% based on the whole composition (e) on a solid basis, the amount of functional groups contained in the ingredient (b) is 0.10 to 1.00 equivalent to the carboxyl groups contained in the backbone of the ingredient (a), the amount of the ingredient (c) is 3 to 40 wt.% based on the composition (e) on a solid basis, and the amount of the ingredient (d) is 2 to 30 wt.% based on the composition (e) on a solid basis.

La présente invention concerne une composition de traitement de surface métallique à base aqueuse permettant de former un film lubrifiant présentant une très bonne résistance à la dégradation. Cette composition est caractérisée en ce qu'elle renferme (a) une résine uréthane hydro-compatible possédant des squelettes bisphénol et des groupes carboxyle dans la structure de la résine et présentant un poids moléculaire moyen de 3,000 ou plus, cette résine ayant été synthétisée par la réaction d'un isocyanate dans lequel la quantité d'atomes d'azote participant à la réaction d'isocyanate est comprise entre 2 et 13 % en poids. Le rapport entre les atomes d'azote participant à la formation de liaison d'urée et les atomes d'azote participant à la réaction d'isocyanate représente entre 10/100 et 80/100. Cette composition renferme également (b) un durcissant, (c) de la silice, et (d) une cire polyoléfinique. Par ailleurs, cette composition est également caractérisée en ce que la quantité globale des ingrédients (a) et (b) est comprise entre 50 et 95 % en poids, sur la base solide de la composition totale (e). En outre, la quantité de groupes fonctionnels contenus dans l'ingrédient (b) est comprise entre 0,1 et 1,00 égale aux groupes carboxyle contenus dans la structure de l'ingrédient (a). La quantité de l'ingrédient (c) est comprise entre 3 et 40 % en poids sur la base solide de la composition (2), la quantité de l'ingrédient (d) étant comprise entre 2 et 30 % en poids sur la base solide de la composition (e).
